Welcome to Snowshoe the Bear
February 6, 2010
It’s a wrap…. the 3rd Annual Snowshoe the Bear.
In the books and definitely a memorable event that all of us will be telling our great grandchildren about.
YES, truth be told, the 10k, is close to 12km!
Rain, Puddles, Snow, Hail, Wet Gloves, Wet Shoes, Wet Dogs, Wet Socks, Wet Reporters, Wet Photographers, Rain, Snow, Paul at the Mic through it all, Rain, Snow, Hot Coffee, Pasta at Paolis, Rain….
and plenty of smiles, congratulations, good sports, cheers for yourself, cheers for friends and a great feeling of accomplishment for everyone who stuck it out to the finish. Not a dry eye in the crowd (literally).
Thanks to everyone who showed up, toughed it out, and found it deep within themselves to start this crazy event and then to dig even deeper to make it to the finish. Congratulations to our top finishers listed below, but even bigger congratulations to those of you who spent some extra time on the course and still finished with a smile. To the girl who finished 2nd to last and found me at the finish line to make sure she was signed up for Conquer the Bear.
Follow her lead, challenge yourself, challenge your friends, get involved in Conquer the Bear. Find support and friendship at the Mountain Fitness Academy – Conquer the Bear with Ted and Heather at Mountain Fitness. You can sign up for Conquer the Bear at www.openairbigbear.com.
